Over the last twenty years, award winning New Zealand potter Fiona Tunnicliffe has hand-made and sculpted many different animals ..  but is probably best known for her horse sculptures.

Fiona uses equine painting as a starting point, but her final product is often far removed and often unrecognizable from her original idea.

Always learning, new clays that require different styles of building, glazes and firing techniques will often dictate the form.
